An exhibition of creative and innovative home designs and ideas was showcased to the public as Wilcon, in collaboration with Worldbex, conducted this year's Obra Maestra Inter-School Competition from March 12 to 16, 2014 at Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City.

Now in its fourth year, Obra Maestra is Wilcon's annual inter-school design competition, currently participated in by eleven academic institutions offering BS Interior Design courses. Each school is represented by a group of BSID students who are given the task of creating and executing an original home design concept using products available at Wilcon. The competition, held throughout the duration of Worldbex 2014, features home designs viewed by the trade goers and home enthusiasts.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines' shabby chic / country style bedroom bagged this year's grand prize, closely followed by University of the East's classic inspired living room area. People's Choice Award, a combination of trade visitors' on site vote and Facebook Likes, goes to Living Room Design Concept of University of Sto. Tomas. Other schools who joined the competition are St. Scholastica's College (Bathroom), Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (Dining Area), College of the Holy Spirit Manila (Bathroom), MAPUA Institute of Technology (Living Room), Philippine School of Interior Design (Dining Room), Philippine Women's University (Dining Room), School of Fashion and the Arts (Bedroom) and UP Diliman (Bedroom).

Aside from pursuing the company’s mission of helping people build, improve and refine their homes, Wilcon also supports the aspiring industry professionals of our country. The Obra Maestra competition is one of the opportunities that Wilcon provides students, allowing them to express their talents and aid them in becoming competent and phenomenal designers of the future.
