Wilcon Plants Trees 2011-11-19 08:41:22

On June 5, 2011, the La Mesa Nature Reserve in Lagro, Quezon City, was the
site of  Wilcon's  latest  environment-saving  advocacy  effort:  a   tree-planting
activity, participated in by the company's executives and employees.

David Azurin, a forester and the project supervisor  of  the  Save the La Mesa
Watershed Project, oversaw  the  implementation  of  the  activity.  Before the
activity began, he conducted  a  briefing  for  the  participants,  explaining  the
proper methods for the planting of trees and the advantages of  the  activity for
 the environment.

Wilcon's President and CEO, William Belo, and its EVP-COO, Rosemarie Ong,
were both present at the activity.  The participants planted a total of 450 Cupang
trees over one hectare of land: the area assigned to the company's contribution
to the La Mesa Watershed Project.
