It was a night of fun and pleasure as Wilcon, in cooperation with Davies officially unveiled the Eco – Friendly Designs for a Greener Tomorrow winning entries last November 9, 2009 at Wilcon Builders’ Depot – Libis.

The country’s most renowned architects, engineers and interior designers, fully clad with green and yellow outfits, attended the affair hosted by actress and former beauty queen Ms. Evangeline Pascual. Wilcon’s President and CEO Mr. William Belo followed by the remarks of Arch. James Jao officially opened the event.

A series of Eco – themed Audio – Visual Presentations, launched by Wilcon’s EVP – COO Ms. Rosemarie Ong, were put on view that night, as it intends to create awareness among the guests to commit themselves in saving the nature.

Student Category winners Christine de Felix, Diovina Lou Yap and Kristine Arriane de Guzman with Professional Category winner David O’yek were joined by Wilcon’s President and CEO Mr. William Belo, EVP – Chief Operating Officer Ms. Rosemarie Ong, PIID Vice President for Internal Affairs Mr. Jiro Estaniel, MTP Architectural Network’s Arch. Mike Peña and Arch. James Jao as the much – awaited ribbon – cutting ceremony took place to formally introduce the eco – home designs to public.

Winners each received a trophy and cash prizes. Scholarship grants under Wilcon Builders Scholarship Foundation were also given to the student victors.

The event also served as Wilcon’s promotion of its Green Campaign as the company seeks for the guests’ aid to its advocacy. Wilcon is earnest in promoting its activities aiming for our environment’s preservation, trusting that these projects would contribute a lot in stirring the consciousness of the homebuilders and consumers in saving the nature.
