Aspiring to build a more sustainable environment, over a
hundred architects, engineers and developers were
gathered at the corporate office of Wilcon Builders'
Depot last January 27, 2010 as the Green Architecture
Advocacy Philippines (Green AP) launched its Green
Designs and Principles to the key players of the
construction industry.
Wilcon's EVP - Chief Financial Officer Ms. Lorraine Belo
formally opened the event, expressing how grateful
Wilcon is that Green AP chose the country's leading
improvement center to be their venue in introducing
their advocacy. Wilcon is one with Green AP in their
advocacy of saving the environment. Wilcon has already
launched several green programs such as Tree Planting at
La Mesa Watershed, Interior Design Competition themed as
"Eco - Friendly Designs for a Greener Tomorrow" and
putting up eco-booths at its depot branches, featuring
Wilcon's eco- |

friendly home products to name a few.
Serving as an orientation of their programs for
this year, the Green AP presented various eco - friendly
designs to the participants of the forum. Lectures on
Green and Sustainable Architecture facilitated by Arch.
Mike Guerrero urges them to take part in saving our
nature as he imparts their Green AP's strategies and
architecture principles.
As a socially responsible company, Wilcon continues to
take all means to save our remaining natural resources.
Its support to the Green AP's advocacy and the company's
numerous projects for the environment are just some of
its means to fulfill such goal.
Green AP's second forum on Climate Responsive Design is
scheduled on February 24, 2010 at Wilcon Builders' Depot
Head Office. |
