Keeping
up with its commitment of providing superior quality
home-building products and excellent services, Wilcon
Builders’ Depot – Calamba, the company’s 20th
outlet, was finally launched on July 31, 2009.
Like the
previous store launches, it was jumpstarted by an
early-morning parade of Wilcon’s myriad of home and
construction must-haves. Kept afloat by its valued
suppliers, the motorcade went by the stretch of National
Highway, passing the towns of Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba
all the way to Los Baños.
A
gathering of the bigwigs of different trades, the event was
espoused by Calamba City Mayor Joaquin Chipeco and his wife,
city administrator Atty. Manuel Ladrido, Beauty and Wellness
guru Ms. Cory Quirino, HCG Phils. vice president for sales
and marketing Mr. Bruce Chien and Evergreen Mfg. Corp.
president Mr. Jerry Tiu.
Wilcon’s
simple celebration was steered by its on-going green
campaign. The newly-opened store was bedecked with a replica
of a waterfall in a forest – a depiction of the nature. An
AVP on environmental awareness concluded the short program.
Wilcon
was first instituted as small hardware store along Quezon
Avenue. After 32 years of readily serving and catering to
the growing demands of consumers, the company has embarked
on several expansion plans that included areas not only in
the metro, but provinces as well.
Indeed,
the long-planned scheme was a huge success. To date, Wilcon
– Calamba is the company’s sixth provincial outlet. There
has been a series of provincial store launches since 2007,
which started out in Mexico, Pampanga. Wilcon shortly
invaded Tarlac, Dau and San Fernando, Pampanga.
Conveying its shining leadership in the construction-supply
industry, Wilcon is eyeing to open a mall-based outlet at
Marquee Mall in Pampanga and depot outlets in Batangas and
Taytay before the year comes to an end.
