WILCON CELEBRATES DECADE-LONG PARTNERSHIP with GREEN AP 2018-02-15 16:59:15

hilippines' leading name in home building supplies, Wilcon Depot celebrates 10 years of fruitful partnership with the Green Architecture Advocacy Philippines (Green AP) in bolstering the organization's advocacy of promoting sustainable development of the built environment. Wilcon Depot acts as the major sponsor in Green AP's 2018 Lecture Series with the theme “Green Action Plan.”

The lecture series hold its initial session for 2018 last January 31st at the Wilcon IT Hub in Makati City. Present in the event is Wilcon SEVP-Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong who welcomed all the attendees and shared the company's actions in promoting a greener environment. Climate Change Commission Assistant Secretary Atty. Rommel Antonio Cuenca was also present as the lecture's topic speaker. Mr. Cuenca's topic revolved around the National Climate Change Action Plan for 2011-2028 outlining the country's agenda for adaptation and mitigation.

Their cutters don't emit noise pollution, and don't generate dust as well; Novabell tile solutions, whose product line is made from 40% recyclable materials; and MacroAir HVLS fans, a US brand that offers a cost-effective product line are some of Wilcon brands that meet worldwide ecological standards.

Also, a recent addition to these brands is Alphalux lighting solutions, a brand which Wilcon have just successfully introduced to the market March of last year. Alphalux products are certified energy-efficient and can last longer than non-LED alternatives.

With the official takeoff of Wilcon and Green AP's series of lecture seminars slated for 2018, expect an array of discussions tackling about comprehensive topics relating to various environmental concerns with the end goal of promoting a more ecologically-focused home building practice in the country.
